haiku for you, this lovely stormy evening

Thick snowflakes erase
voids left by tires, shoe soles,
paths of journeys past.

Snow-stamped footprints fill
slowly with white and recede
under buds’ shadows.

Light pole-worn snow cap,
upside-down ice cream cone,
licked away by heat.

Winter’s freezing breath
paralyzes waterfalls
spilling liquid teeth.
