You can read all the particulars here, but the gist of this event is artists convening in one place to inspire change within the community that surrounds them, has nurtured them, and that will nurture future generations. This incarnation, the Asbury Park Chapter of parent organization 100,000 Poets for Change, has been put together by Joshua J. Ballard and will feature much more than poetry. There will be live music, paintings and other forms of visual art, a silent auction, and even live sculptors!

But check out the A-list of local performers:
Patricia Smith
NYC Intangibles Slam Team
Philly “Fuze” Slam Team
Joshua J Ballard
Connor Dooley
Mark Brunneti (of The Idiom magazine/blog/podcast)
Chad Anderson
Ben Figeroua
Josh Matson (Also the event’s Art Curator)
Chris Rockwell (of the Tuesday Night Speakeasy at The Annex)
Sean Van Kleeff
Alexandria Savastano
Maggie “Danger” Bloom Brown
Chris Hartsgrove
Andrew “Ink” Feindt
…and more!

The 29th is a Saturday night, and this is going to be one hell of a party for a great cause. Come on out. Come together. These artists, this community, will  inspire you to evoke change on a personal level as to foster compassion for those you know and those you may not know yet in your very own town.
